Internship on site
Duties
We offer interested and committed young people the opportunity of an internship abroad in The Gambia, West Africa. As needed, you will work in the Sannehmentereng Kindergarten & Lower Basic School in Brufut or in one of our training centres in Brufut or Sintet.
Areas of responsibility
- Homework supervision
- Gym
- English classes
- Mathematics exercises
- Music lessons
- Computer courses
- Accompaniment and support of the students according to the occasion
- Handicraft / creative lessons
- Painting courses and games
The interns work closely with the teachers and bring their own ideas and creativity.

Requirements / Infos
Internship period:
The regular internship period is from September to June of the following year. A shortened internship from March to June is also possible. Deviating periods must be requested individually.
Requirements:
To start an internship, you must be at least 18 years old. You or a parent must be members of the association. Experience with children or young people is also helpful.
Costs & Catering:
The work is done on a voluntary basis through the association, which is why a salary payment is not possible.
Financing with child benefit is sufficient. The effort per month amounts to approx. 50 Euro to 100 Euro.
Lunch at the school and an apartment in our internship house are available to you free of charge.
